GRAEME MANSFIELD

Graeme has been practising as a lawyer in Hastings since 1979 and in that time has built up a reputation for being an efficient and competent respected General Practitioner. He has been with Mansfield Law throughout.
In that time, Graeme has operated a general practice and built up a wealth of experience in property, commercial, wills, trusts and estates as well as in the family court. Graeme is an experienced mediator having gained postgraduate qualifications and conducted numerous successful mediations.
Graeme has contributed to Law Society affairs having served on the local District Law Society for nine years. He does pro bono work for the underprivileged in our community by giving his time and experience to the Hawkes Bay Community Law Centre on a weekly basis.
Graeme’s family is important to him and he recognises that having the support of his wife Marilyn in her role as the firms’ office manager. When away from the office, Graeme enjoys spending time boating on Lake Taupo hoping to hook that elusive trout and doing water sports with family.
MARILYN MANSFIELD
Office Manager
As the name suggests, Marilyn is Graeme’s wife and has been associated with the firm’s administration since 1997.
Marilyn’s background is in nursing, having been a registered nurse and hospital supervisor. She also worked in the pharmaceutical industry for a number of years. Marilyn manages the day to day operations of the firm and all compliance matters including the operating of the Trust account.
When not at work, Marilyn’s interests are family, multi-sport travelling and water sports in Taupo.

I spent from 2002 to 2021 in Auckland I was admitted to the bar in 2015. In 2021 I could no longer resist the sunshine and the work life balance that Hawkes Bay and Taupo had to offer.
After a few years of practicing general law I took a break from the law and spent 24 months working as a project manager on a multi unit renovation in the seaside suburb of Kohimarama. The worksite was just a stones throw from the beach, however with multiple owners and multiple tradies there were to be no beach days. In 2020 I retuned to university to upskill in criminal law and follow my passion.
I have completed the Duty lawyer training program and am currently spending my time in Taupo and Hawkes Bay working predominantly in the criminal defence space. I strongly believe that everyone deserves quality representation and there are always more than one side of a story. I take pride on doing the best for every client that I work for.
When away from the office, I am an avid sports person the most recent addiction is to CrossFit.
